Congress reconvenes the bipartisan Aluminum caucus

February 7, 2025
U.S. Congresswoman Carol Miller joined with Glenn Grothman, Haley Stevens, and Morgan McGarvey McGarvey, co-sponsored the relaunch of the bipartisan Congressional Aluminum Caucus. The caucus aims to raise awareness of the importance of Alcoa and discuss the production, use, and key issues within the industry. Congressman Miller said, "I am excited to join my colleagues as co-chair of the bipartisan Congressional Aluminum Caucus. Aluminum is a key metal used in the production of a wide range of important products, from kitchenware and furniture to aircraft. Alcoa supports jobs for hundreds of thousands of hardworking Americans, more than 1,100 of which are held by West Virginia residents. As a result, the aluminum industry contributes billions of dollars to our economy. We will work together to find ways to support the growth of the industry and strengthen American manufacturing."

Congressman Grossman said, "I am very proud to serve as co-chair of the Aluminum Caucus and be a voice for Alcoa's 700,000 workers, including 2,817 workers in Wisconsin's 6th District. Aluminum is a cornerstone of the American economy. To ensure its continued growth and global competitiveness, we need to prepare the next generation of students for high-paying technical jobs, such as those in the aluminum industry. This includes workers trained in traditional manufacturing processes and advanced, cutting-edge technologies. I am very excited about the work ahead."
