The United States has launched a double-reverse investigation into disposable aluminum containers, pans, trays and LIDS

On 6 June 2024, pursuant to an application filed on 16 May 2024 by the Aluminum Foil Container Manufacturers Association and its member companies, The U.S. Department of Commerce has announced an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation into Disposable Aluminum Containers, Pans, Trays, and LIDS (andLids) imported from China. This case involves products under US Customs Code 7615.10.7125. The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is expected to make a preliminary industrial injury ruling in this case no later than July 1, 2024. If the US International Trade Commission determines that the imports of the products involved pose a material injury or threat of material injury to the US domestic industry, the US Department of Commerce will continue to investigate the case and is expected to make a preliminary anti-subsidy ruling on August 9, 2024, and a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on October 23, 2024.
According to US statistics, the amount of investigated products imported by the United States from China in 2023 is about 90.15 million US dollars.
