Us Treasury Secretary on 'tariffs on China' : Hopes for a major trade deal with China No one wants tariffs to stay

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant said on Monday that he still wanted a major trade deal with Beijing, adding that it would require a very different model than past trade and currency deals. He stressed that the tariffs were not a joke because of the large numbers involved. He thinks these tariffs are unsustainable and nobody wants them to stay in place.
